Removing dents and dings on a favorite 'run cue' shaft, either hard maple or the new tech, laminated shafts is much more involved than sanding out the divots with 400 grit sandpaper (A DEFINITE NO! NO!) Unless requested otherwise, all ferrule repairs are machined with 5/16"-18 threads and the tenon is threaded and ferrule installed with 2 part epoxy for strength and longevity.
